Who we are

ICCA (International Circassian Cultural Academy) is a non-profit cultural hub headquartered in Amman. Our mission is to preserve, teach and celebrate Circassian culture locally and internationally through language programs, performing arts, publications and vocational workshops.

The Highlanders Circassian Dance Troupe

Formed in 2010 alongside the International Circassian Cultural Academy, The Highlanders is one of Jordan’s most distinguished Circassian dance troupes. With nearly 200 dancers ranging from ages 6 to 26, the troupe is divided into three ensembles: the Sprouts (6–12), the Youth Group (12–16), and the Main Troupe (16+). Each group trains rigorously in traditional Circassian dance and etiquette, breathing new life into centuries-old rituals of movement, elegance, and communal pride. Over the years, The Highlanders have captivated audiences both locally and abroad, with standout performances across the Middle East, Europe, and the Circassian homeland in the Caucasus. Through every performance, The Highlanders uphold the timeless spirit of Adige Xabze, transforming cultural heritage into a vivid, living art.

Step into the heart of Circassian rhythm, elegance, and storytelling. This full-length performance by The Highlanders captures the spirit of Adige Xabze in motion—from the precise footwork and synchronized formations to the deep cultural symbolism behind every gesture. Whether you're watching for the first time or reliving a cherished moment, this show is a powerful reminder of how tradition lives on through dance.

Preserving Culture Through Words

At ICCA, we believe that language and tradition are the backbone of identity. Our publications serve as essential tools for preserving and sharing Circassian heritage with future generations. From the first Arabic–Circassian dictionary to “Adige Xabze,” our comprehensive guide to Circassian customs and traditions, each work is a step toward cultural revival. These publications are not only references—they are bridges between generations, crafted with academic rigor and deep cultural respect. More titles are currently in development, including language-learning resources and digital editions designed to reach a global audience.
